How to Prepare for Your Henna Appointment

Ok so there’s really not much you need to do to prepare for your appointment, but there are a few things to remember that will help you get a good dark stain, so if you’re planning to come see me at one of my booths or if you have booked a pregnancy henna session with me, here’s a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Don’t apply lotion to the area, and, oops, if you already have, then just wash it off with soap and water before your appointment. Lotion will prevent the henna from making good contact with the skin. Good contact with the skin is needed in order for the dye from the henna paste to be transferred to your skin.
  2. Clean the area to remove skin oils and any dirt. This, again, will help the henna paste to make better contact with the skin.
  3. Prepare to sit still. Getting henna is very relaxing, take advantage of it! Have music playing or just prepare yourself to veg out for a while.
